Tantastic Attack (Tan)

Tantastic Attack

Working Sheepdog

Black Tri-colour

D.O.B. 14th June 2001

Tan is our 'wild child'!

A complete and utter loony, she is always tearing around. She has so much enthusiasm for everything, and is the happiest dog I know, she just loves everyone and everything!
She was the last of a litter of four pups, and the one I would have picked anyway, good fortune for both of us! She is a bit of a mad dog, but we wouldn't change a thing about her.

Tan is quite small (just under 18"), however, no-one who knows her ever thinks of her as a 'little' dog, somehow she seems bigger than average.....

I loved competing with Tan even though I never quite knew what would happen when I started her off. Would she take any notice of me today or not? This was always the question! She never meant to mis-behave, but agility is so exciting and she just forgot to be good sometimes!

Tan competed at grade 7, she won over 40 classes since winning into 'Senior' aged 2.

She won two Olympia Semi-Finals at The Royal Show, in 2004 and 2005.

In 2005 we won the pairs competition at Olympia, paired with Alan Bray and Tig.

She also has a reserve Agility CC - thus giving our spayed WSD a Kennel Club Stud Book Number!

She has passed her Kennel Club Gold Good Citizen test too.

She has suffered two rather severe injuries, one to her front left leg, requiring an op on her wrist, the other to her left cruciate, and now is recovering from cruciate surgery. She will not be able to compete at G7 again, the sort of dog she is could never 'take it carefully', so for her own safety we decided to stop.

She does have several other 'hobbys' - 'watching the rabbits', and 'watching the fish' - both require intense concentration and quite a lot of wobbling on the spot, and 'looking for squirrels' is a favourite past-time! Not forgetting, she thoroughly enjoys watching the other dogs doing agility too - for Tantan agility is very much a 'spectators sport'!
